Welcome to South Tampa, a vibrant community located on a peninsula between Tampa Bay and Hillsborough Bay. South Tampa is filled with unique character, and a rich history, and is one of the premier areas to live in the Greater Tampa Bay Metro.

Bayshore Boulevard is one of the most iconic features of South Tampa. This scenic waterfront drive stretches 4.5 miles along the bay and is one of the longest continuous sidewalks in the world. Residents enjoy jogging, biking, rollerblading, and strolling along the bay while taking in the breathtaking views of the water, downtown Tampa’s skyline, and spectacular west coast Florida sunsets.
Another highlight of South Tampa is Hyde Park Village. This charming outdoor shopping center is home to a variety of upscale boutiques, restaurants, and cafes.
South Tampa, particularly Hyde Park, is also known for its charming historic homes, many of which date back to the early 20th century. The neighborhood is characterized by mature oak trees lining the streets, manicured lawns, adorable front porches, and a sense of community that's hard to find anywhere else.
There is a diverse mix of other home styles in South Tampa ranging from mid-century ranch homes to luxury waterfront estates and entry-level condos to ultra-luxury condos. The average price of a home in South Tampa is significantly higher compared to the city of Tampa as a whole. Hyde Park is just one of many popular neighborhoods of South Tampa.
Some of the most impressive waterfront homes can be found along the west side of South Tampa in neighborhoods such as Beach Park, Sunset Park, and really any of the neighborhoods to this side of Westshore BLVD. This is where you can find an abundance of waterfront single-family homes that have private boat docks allowing for open water access. The west side of South Tampa has the exclusive residences at Westshore Yacht Club and the relatively new Marina District, which are both great options for finding homes, townhomes, or condos situated right on Tampa Bay.
Just across the water from South Tampa is Davis Islands, an exclusive island community known for its upscale homes, beautiful parks, and yacht club. Davis Islands are connected to the mainland by two bridges and offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. When it comes to waterfront homes, Davis Islands is one of the premier neighborhoods in all of the Tampa Bay area. Davis islands is made up of a handful of small islands separated by canals and connected by small bridges. There are quite a lot of homes backing up to a canals or Hillsborough Bay, most of which have open water access. As you can see why, demand is high for these properties on Davis Islands resulting in some of the priciest real estate in Tampa.

And speaking of islands, Harbour Island is another gem in South Tampa's crown. This mixed-use community features luxury high-rise condominiums, and gated neighborhoods with townhomes and single-family homes as well. There are waterfront restaurants, cafes, and a marina on Harbour Island. This is a great place for someone transitioning from a larger city who appreciates a walkable community. It’s a popular destination for boaters and urban professionals who want to live and work in a beautiful waterfront setting.
Across Davis Islands and Harbour Island is the new Water Street District, which is transforming downtown Tampa with new hotels, restaurants, and cultural attractions. The aquarium is one of the best in Florida. Amelie Arena is home to the Tampa Bay Lightning and a great place to catch indoor concerts. The luxury condos provide an ultra-convenient location complete with some of the most spectacular views.
There are lots of other highlights of South Tampa. Armature Works is a trendy food hall and event space located along the Hillsborough River. The SoHo area is a vibrant nightlife district.
