I've made a little video showcasing internal footage of the first days, highlighting the importance of prototyping properly to understand your game, how it feels, what makes the systems different from other games, how it scales with more players or what kind of animation it will need.

If you come from filmmaking, this is your script, your storyboard or your cinematic. If the prototype doesn't exist or doesn't work, your game or movie won't work, or even worse, can become a pithole of improvisation, patches, delays and tons of silent killers and systems piling up. Similar to the exercise of rebuilding a boat while sailing (Marvel?)...

So stay here and iterate until you think you have something special. It is the paradigm of the good vs great, the job vs the passion, the product vs the art and so on.

If you have the great luck and opportunity to tell something with your art, be sure that is not contaminated by the rush of this world. Prototype, enjoy that stage, make it work and then move.
