I attempted, and finished, the Trail Events Co Lake District Ultra Trail marathon! 64km/40 miles in length with an elevation gain over 3222m.

The route starts in the lovely town of Keswick an headed down the west side of Derwent Water over the Cat Bells. From there along the tops to Honister pass and then over Green Gables down to Wasdale. From Wasdale over to Eskdale via Burnmoor Tarn. Then up the might Sca Fell and Scafell Pike, England's highest peak! From there another half marathon or so back to Keswick via Seathwaite.

The trail was marked very well and the aid stations helpful and nutritious! Thanks to the TEC staff and volunteers for putting on the event. I can 45/103 with a finish time of 12:44:42. Not lightning but I just want to complete the challenge. Still running at the end and overall a very happy day in the Lakes.
