Team Sanofi’s artistic gymnast Yul Moldauer lives by the motto “embrace the grind”, helping him dig deep when his body’s exhausted, and carry on when he wants to give up. In those moments, he also draws on the constant strength from his dad, Shaw, who adopted him from Korea before the age of one. Shaw has been there from the start, from the difficult early years when gymnastics became a way for his son to blow off steam, to being a reassuring presence at every competition. His one message to Yul before he performs – good luck, have fun, be you.
