This is the first time I've ever made a cage crinoline or a hoop skirt before and I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt! Of course there were some hiccups but that's to be expected when trying something new. I followed Farthingale's cage crinoline tutorial pretty closely and there are only a few things I would change next time I make a cage crinoline. Cage crinolines are super important in getting the right silhouette in mid-Victorian clothing without having to carry around tons of weight and bulk from stacks of petticoats! It makes achieving the necessary volume lightweight and is so much easier to walk in. This is the sixth video in my Hannah Alexander Alice in Wonderland cosplay series and I'm taking my research and inspiration from the mid-Victorian 1860's since that's when Alice in Wonderland was published and the time period that most matches Hannah's design.
