Manufactured Homes in 2020 are highly customizable to fit your specific living requirements. Every week I post a video about a different option or set of options available in manufactured homes to give people a better understanding about what is available so they can shop for their new home with confidence.

In this video I talk about a few of the options available in manufactured homes to make a home more accessible for someone in a wheel chair. These are just a few of the options that can easily be added that won't make significant difference in the price of your mobile home. The first is 36" wide doors, this is something I have added to a few homes including our current office which is a 1540 squre foot double wide and it just adds extra space for moving between rooms. The second option is a grab bar in the bathroom by the toilet or shower. Adding this at the factory is great because it's likely less money than you will find at a store and it's installed for you so it's ready when your manufactured home arrives. The third option is removing the cabinets under the sink, this allows someone in a wheel chair easier use of the kitchen or bathroom sink by being able to move right up to it. The final interior option I always suggest to someone in a wheelchair looking for more accessibility is removing the carpet. Most people buying a manufactured home don't like carpet as it is, but this option is great because laminate, hardwood and vinyl plank are far easier to maintain and keep clean. These are just a few of the options available to make a manufactured home more accessible, comment below others you have heard of, seen or added to your own home! Thanks for watching!
