Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an epic story of survival and transformation. While on an expedition into the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear, then left for dead by members of his own hunting team. Glass, refusing to succumb and driven by sheer will and his love for his wife and son, undertakes a 200-mile journey through a gauntlet of dangers, on the trail of the man who betrayed him: John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). What begins as a relentless quest for revenge becomes a wild adventure leading towards redemption. THE REVENANT is directed and co-written by Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
