Sometimes if your kid is not listening, a call to the authorities can help straighten them out! This video mimics a call to 911 and leaves a pause between the officer's responses to engage your kid. Warning, most kids will end up pretty freaked out so prepare to console them afterward.

CALL OUTLINE:
Officer: 911, what is your emergency?

PAUSE FOR ADULTS RESPONSE

Officer: OK, what is the child’s name and age?

PAUSE FOR ADULTS RESPONSE

Officer: OK, Are they still misbehaving?

PAUSE FOR ADULTS RESPONSE

Officer: Since they are still being naughty I will send a police officer to your home immediately. We have your address on file.
If they are still naughty when the police arrive we may arrest them and take them to the children’s prison for questioning.
Do you mind if I ask your child a couple questions?

PAUSE FOR ADULTS RESPONSE

Officer: Hi there, can you hear me ok?

PAUSE FOR KIDS RESPONSE

Officer: OK, great. Have you ever been to a children’s prison?

PAUSE FOR KIDS RESPONSE

Officer: OK, it’s not a fun place, I’ll tell you what, if you can promise to stop being naughty right now I can call the police and tell them not to go to your house. Can you do that?

PAUSE FOR KIDS RESPONSE

Officer: OK, I think it will be good if you apologize right now for misbehaving, will you do that?

PAUSE FOR KIDS RESPONSE

Officer: OK, good job, that was a good choice. I will call the police and tell them that you decided to start behaving. Are you going to be ok now?

PAUSE FOR KIDS RESPONSE

Officer: OK good. Thank you for calling 911, we are here to help, call us again if you any more issues with naughty kids, we will have the police standing by.
