How To Reuse A Keg SAFELY - Vent, Open, And Re Use A Commercial Keg For Home Brew

I got sick of seeing videos of people jamming screwdrivers into the top of a highly pressurised container so thought I’d show you how to do it using a tool which is readily available online and only costs about £15

I should probably say before anyone jumps on my about it, only use this on kegs that you legally own. That said, as you can see there’s no damage caused to mine so I suppose I could just put it back together and hand it back if I needed to!

No Penny in this video because I was full of illness when I filmed it. Probably explains all of the heavy breathing!

You can buy the commercial adapter kit here - https://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/produ...

Start searching for Keg Couplers here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fr...

You're going to want a hammer or mallet of some kind, something to wedge against the nubs on the top of the spear, and obviously the keg connector. Additionally, a caulking gun and something a similar width as the ring you want to push down.

This video was made using a Sankey keg. If you have another type of keg you're struggling with drop a comment and I'll see what I can do.
