At the heart of Masjid Al Aqsa lies a sacred masterpiece. Handcrafted from richest cedar wood and adorned with ivory and sea shells, Nur Ad Din Zingi’s Mimbar waited two decades for the liberation of Jerusalem to be placed in its destination.
834 years ago, this pulpit rode the waves of Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi’s army to conquer Jerusalem. Symbolizing envisions of the Muslims regaining the Holy Land, it was at the hands of Salahuddin Ayubi that the pulpit was placed within the Holy Mosque.
