The 2020 Ford Escape is the first model year of an all new generation for the ever-popular compact suv / crossover. As part of this new generation, Ford has been making a push to introduce more efficient models including both a traditional hybrid and a plug-in hybrid vehicle. In this video I explore what's great about the Escape PHEV, including the tech, price, and features but I also dive into the fatal shortcomings of the model. The main disadvantage, especially in a snowy climate or for active buyers, is the lack of a option for all wheel drive. Similarly priced competitors, like the Rav 4 PHEV have all wheel drive, more horsepower, and more space....and all at a similar price point.
