Ron Aikens - while in prison - has an amazing experience that is truly life changing. Being given the opportunity to continue to make music while incarcerated with the group - The Power of Attorney - a funk and soul band made up of LIFERS in Graterford Prison outside of Philadelphia PA. The group not only got to perform outside of the prison for a total of 400 dates - they also got signed to a record deal with POLYDOR records - impressing James Brown himself - the owner of the label that point. This story finishes with part 3 coming soon - and leading up to Ron Aikens return to the stage in Philadelphia with a brand new group - Ron and the Hip Tones - performing on Sept. 28th at @WorldCafeLivePHL @brewerytownbeats
