This is a high speed video of a Life Saver getting hammered by a high-school student studying triboluminescence. This was recorded at 110 000 frames per second, with 7 microsecond exposure, and a 100 mm Zeiss lens. No luminescence was observed due to the fact that the number of scattered photons dramatically outnumbered the number of emitted blue photons. The key to view the emission is to open the aperture, expand the exposure time, and remove the LED lights.

The phantom TMX 7510 was used to capture this event.
