All-new 2024 Ford Tourneo Connect PHEV - Best Compact Family Van
Ford has announced its plans to enhance the appeal of its popular seven-seat 2024 Tourneo Connect 1.2 multi-activity vehicle by introducing an advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain, a first in its segment.

With the reveal of the Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV), Ford aims to elevate the vehicle's flexibility and versatility, allowing customers to electrify their driving experience. The PHEV model will enable drivers to cover up to an estimated 110 km solely on electric power, offering zero tailpipe emissions and aligning with the increasing number of low-emission zones across Europe.

This addition also marks the completion of Ford's electrification strategy for its next-generation Tourneo people mover family in Europe. Alongside the Ford Tourneo Connect PHEV, the lineup includes the compact five-seat E-Tourneo Courier, the eight-seat E-Tourneo Custom 1.3, and the nine-seat Tourneo Custom Plug-In Hybrid.

Order books for Tourneo Connect 2024 PHEV open later in summer 2024, with initial deliveries expected during the final quarter of the year.


The cutting-edge powertrain featured in the 2024 Ford Tourneo Connect PHEV seamlessly integrates a 1.5-liter EcoBoost petrol engine, a high-voltage battery, and an electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 150 PS and 350 Nm of torque through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

This setup offers impressive performance while maintaining efficiency. The battery is designed for flexibility, allowing fast-charging at up to 50 kW via DC public chargers during long road trips. Additionally, it can be fully recharged at home using AC charging of up to 11 kW, providing convenience and versatility for everyday use.


The Tourneo Connect PHEV offers more than just its innovative powertrain. Inside its spacious cabin, you'll find a modern "digital cockpit" equipped with twin 10-inch displays and connectivity through the SYNC infotainment system. This system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ensuring seamless integration with your smartphone.

Moreover, the electrified model boasts the same advanced driver assistance systems found in 2024 Tourneo Connect petrol and diesel counterparts, all of which have earned a maximum five-star rating from the independent safety authority Euro NCAP. These technologies include Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane-Keeping System, and Exit Warning, providing enhanced safety and convenience for drivers.
