The Tesla Model Y just recently became the best selling Tesla against a lineup of industry leading EV's. The Tesla Model 3 previously held that title, and while it continues to outsell all other EV's, the popularity of the Model Y cannot be understated.

Tesla has worked diligently more recently in expanding production capacity globally. With Giga Shanghai being the biggest recent expansion, Tesla has tapped out all available capacity for the Model 3 and Model Y. Until Giga Austin and Giga Berlin are complete, Tesla is running at and selling 100% of production every week.

Just a week ago, the LR AWD Tesla Model Y had an estimated delivery date in November. Today, that date has been pushed back to the end of 2021, or December. Although the sellout period for each quarter appears to be accelerating, one thing is for sure, if you want a Tesla Model Y in 2021, you need to order your car now.
