In this video I quit my phone for 1 week, and it changed my time management for the better. I went one week without using my smartphone, and instead only used my Apple Watch. Some time ago, I had the thought that I am entirely too dependent on my phone. It's the last thing I put down before bed and the first thing I pick up in the morning. With the utilization of "screen time" settings on the iPhone, it's really easy to see just how much time is being wasted on a daily basis. My screen time was way too high and I was looking to change that. So I took it upon myself to give myself a challenge - let's put away the phone altogether. With my Apple Watch, I could still send important messages, use maps to get to work, and listen to music or books, but could get rid of the constant distractions of always having my phone on me. No more social media at my fingertips. I wanted to learn not to just immediately go on my phone when I had free time or to fill the quiet, and it was actually a lot easier than I thought. I learned that I truly don't need my phone with me at all times, and lowered my screen time by about 90%. It was a weird adjustment but I'm happy to have challenged myself, and if you see that you need this too I urge you to try it.
