When you suddenly have a lot more time on your hands you can do a lot more free thinking about the things you never normally get time to think about. This can allow for some creating ideas to form and how to shape your own future instead of being at the mercy of a boss or landlord who can pull the rug from under you at any time.
These are some of my thoughts on that subject with a little advice for anyone in a similar position.
