I recently ran into an issue at a track day where after a long straight followed by hard breaking and a right hand sweeper my car started blowing smoke...bad. It was oil smoke. After doing some research I found that there is a minor flaw in the baffle design for the 2015 through 2017 valve covers. At the same time my valve covers started leaking because of how Ford decided to eliminate several bolts on the valve covers.

If you have a 2015 through 2017 that is still under powertrain warranty, here is the TSB that describes the fix and you may be able to get the valve cover corrected for the leaking issue at least by the dealer.

these appear to have solved my issues. they also come with the added benefit of the car being much quieter at idle. you can't hear the valve train near as much and it's kind of nice
