Pandemic Coronavirus is skyrocketing. Myths about COVID 19 is one among the various factors that has produced greater impact in health of people.

In this video, I have listed 11 myths about coronavirus and the facts.

1. Face masks always protect against coronavirus infection:
- Even though CDC focussed on wearing mask by everyone, it is not eh absolute precaution. It must be combined with hand washing and social distancing. The coronavirus currently raging measures 0.1 micrometers in diameter. In addition, face masks foster a false sense of security like wearing gloves.

2. Coronavirus spreads via faeces, urine or other body fluids:
- Some evidence suggests that Coronavirus may be present in faeces but there are no any reports of feco oral transmission of COVID 19 till date.

3. COVID-19 spreads via the food containers, food packaging or grocery store:
- There is no evidence of anyone contracting corona virus after touching food containers and food packaging. However, its possible that SARS COV2 may linger on fruits and vegetables in grocery store. Whether this could make you sick is not known.

4. Corona virus infection spreads via drinking water or through swimming pools:
- Coronavirus has not been detected in drinking water. Plus, there is no evidence that nCoV spreads through swimming pools and water playgrounds.

5. Novel coronavirus gets killed by exposing yourself to sun or taking hot bath or temperature more than 25C. Or, COVID 19 cannot be transmitted in hot and humid climates:
- Answer is NO. There are reports of COVID 19 in countries with hot climate.

6. Thermal scanners can detect COVID 19.

7. Injecting, swallowing, bathing in or rubbing alcohol, bleach or chlorine all over the body can kill new corona virus.

8. Cats and dogs spread COVID 19.

9. Rinsing the nose with saline or garling mouthwash protects agains coronavirus infection.

10. Medicines like antibiotics or antimalarials or anti HIV drugs kill the coronavirus. Or, pneumonia vaccine can protect against COVID 19.

11. Ginger and garlic or foods rich in vitamin C can prevent or treat COVID 19.
