Farmers use a range of agricultural chemicals on our farm to feed, protect and strengthen their crops. These range from pesticides (including insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and nematicides) to synthetic fertilizers, hormones and other chemical growth agents.

This video introduces four of the agrochemical products that we use at Winterthorn, with a short explanation of what each does and why and how we use it.

The products featured are:
1) Vita-K (Potassium Sulphate fertiliser by Omnia)
2) Omni-K (Potassium Nitrate fertiliser by Omnia)
3) Hygrobuff 4 (buffer by Hygrotech used to neutralise water when spraying agrochemicals
4) Novomax (liquid foliar fertiliser with seaweed extracts)
