Fluorescence is pretty amazing. Liz explains how this beautiful phenomenon occurs, how the chemistry works (with some live demonstrations for the audience), and where it's found across the natural world. She then explores how fluorescence can be used as a tool, through developing fluorescent sensors for environmental and medical research.
