At 2 a.m. we awoke to a symphony of sirens. has the same exact thing had happened 2 hours previously and ended up being a shooting, we thought it might be related. This doesn't happen often. I popped out the rear hatch of the boat, and quickly said to my wife "babe, big fire".
took us a couple minutes to pinpoint the location, but we determined it was Seattle Boat Co. just under the I-5 Bridge. An arsonist was arrested but an entire rack of boats and part of a building went up in flames resulting in millions in damage and the loss of close to fifty boats. Unfortunately this is not the first occurrence for Seattle Boat company as they lost a rack due to fireworks on 4th of July a few years back as well.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt.
