This week I drove a 1998 993 Porsche 911 Carrera S, and got a chance to experience the final model year of air-cooled 911!! I loved experiencing an 'in-between' of the 1977 911S I drove last week and the myriad of modern 911's I've driven both on and off the channel!

While 993's, particularly clean and lower mileage 6-speed examples, are already very expensive -- I'm almost certain that they will continue to go up in value! I believe this because the 993 is the sweet spot of old school analog and modern day drivability/capability.

I wish I had an extra $150k lying around, because the 993 is simply that brilliant, and would make for an excellent 2nd or 3rd car... as exhilarating as it is manageable, it hails from an era where less than 300hp was still considered 'a lot'. That makes for a driving experience that someone my age needed to feel to believe, and now I can't go back!
