Jannatul Baqi (Arabic: جنة البقيع; “Garden of Baqi”), also known as Baqi al-Gharqad (Arabic: بقیع الغرقد; “Baqi of the Boxthorn”) is the main graveyard in Madinah, located next to Masjid al-Nabawi. It contains the graves of the Ahl al-Bayt, as well as graves of up to 10,000 companions of the Prophet ﷺ, Tabi’in, scholars and righteous people.
