George Lucas has proclaimed himself 'The King of Wooden Dialogue' and Episode II arguably contains the most 'on-the-nose' discussions. So much so, I wanted to cut down the corny conversation in this scene, to the bare essentials.

In the original conversation, Anakin monologues to Padme about being haunted by her, how she's tormenting him, basically, not the kind of thing any rational woman wants to hear. Personally, as much as this neatly foreshadows both their demise, I feel this line of dialogue is cringy and not only kills the romantic mood but also raises a bunch of obvious🚩🚩🚩🚩.

In MY version, Padme & Anakin have already admitted their mutual feelings off-screen and it's left to the audience's imagination how that conversation went. Now this back & forth about their next move feels more natural.
