Finding out your child has been identified with hearing loss can be a lot for a family to process. You’re faced with new terms, procedures, people, and services that you need to learn about. But the good news is that as a parent, you have the opportunity to choose what your child’s future looks like and what goals you want them to achieve.

And that’s exactly what parents Marissa and Glenn did when they decided to choose a Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) outcome for their daughters Morgan and Katie. Their mom Marissa shares advice for other parents, “I think it’s all worth it. Every penny, every minute, every sacrifice has been worth it. And I’d do it all over again.”

Listen In with Morgan and Katie and their family as they reflect on their journey with hearing loss. Their interview looks back on the sisters' confirmed identification of hearing loss and receiving their cochlear implants, navigating school and athletics, and what life looks like today.
