A flop upon its initial release, at least domestically, big box office receipts in Europe, as well as amazing home video sales propelled this to franchise status, although besides the TV show, none seem to really hold a candle to the original film. It starred Christopher Lambert as Connor MacLeod, and immortal warrior forced to face off with other Immortals n oder to win "The Prize". Sean Connery co-stars as his mentor,, Ramirez, while Clancy Brown plays the villain, the murderous Kurgan.
