2020 was definitely an upset when it came to the Best Picture winner. Parasite's win was something people hoped for but didn't see coming. Could this mean a change in the kind of films that win Oscars? Only time will really tell. At least it legitimized foreign films to a more mainstream filmgoing community.

Something to note in my video: I know that I say the clothes smell the same because of the pesticide gas. This could be true, but I also understand the idea that the Kims just smell "poor." Mr. Park holds his nose when getting the keys out from under Geun-se, but then again, Geun-se hasn't showered in like 4 years. However, the Parks don't complain about the smell of the other Kims, which leads me to believe that Ki-Taek just smells particularly bad. Da-Song seems to notice a more subtle smell in their clothes that can be attributed to the spray.

Also, Bong heavily foreshadows the use of the rock as a destructive device about midway through the film. I forgot to mention it in the video, so I'm mentioning it here.
