Roto-Rooter's popular pet rescue program has rescued hundreds of wayward pets from tight spaces in recent years, but we recently found a news report of one of our earliest documented pet rescues from September 4, 1997, in Sacramento, California.

Sewer inspection camera snakes weren't very common in the 1990s due to their great expense, but Roto-Rooter plumbers used one to locate this 6-week-old kitten, and with the help of local firefighters, we rescued her. She was then given the name "Lucky."
