Black women have been subject to verbal, emotional and occupational discrimination for years. This was not just a joke about hair. If you are willing to understand the context of a black woman’s hair, and Jada’s autoimmune disease which led to the shaving of her hair, you realize the depths of the pain caused by a “joke”.
