In today’s global supply chains, the manual production of goods is often done in countries that don’t have the capacity to regulate and ensure the safety of factory workers. Yet, while brands outsource production, they can’t outsource all of the risk of the conditions of production. Many brands now often hire social auditors to assess factory conditions.
