One of the questions that came up early in the group was about stand-still charging. Can the Wrangler 4XE "self-charge" from the gas engine. The answer is yes but this method is neither environmentally friendly nor efficient. This will use gas without a lot of extra benefit. The battery retains about a 15% charge for driving even when the battery level indicator drops below 1%. You will still have all of the power for off-roading or just every day driving even when the battery indicator says you are below the 1% mark.
