DJI Avata 2 range test with DJI FPV RC3 and dji googles 3 4.5km to the mountain 9km round trip, its full manual/acro mode and with ham_cfg_support file on microsd dji googles 3

In my opinion this unit is not very comfortable to use for long range, because the aerodynamic adjustments to the wind are not adaptive, possibly due to the impact of the propeller protector.

before range test flight I ALWAYS do:

-fly only in unpopulated area like mountainous areas that avoid by manned aircraft for safety reason.
-pre-flight check of the drone system
-check flight route condition & status, check air traffic using flightradar24 gold
-respect local culture & wisdom and people privacy
-measuring range using google earth
-plan B: always prepare a backup landing area for air and ground safety.

please note, range test can only be done by experienced people.
