It is becoming increasingly dangerous to be a journalist. In 2023, 96 journalists worldwide died while doing their job. In Gaza alone, 78 reporters and collaborators were killed. But journalists are not only at risk in war situations; they increasingly face physical violence, digital attacks, state terror and threats from the underworld elsewhere. How can journalists arm themselves against these threats, and continue to practice their profession?
