Through Kris (KO) O'Connor, John was given the demo tape of Bill Danoff's new song, "Potter's Wheel." John then released a new album with "Potter's Wheel" as the featured song along with a video that, frankly, sucked. Bill had written 12 hit songs for John beginning with "Take Me Home, Country Roads," but they had not communicated for years. Then John used "Potter's Wheel" for what was his last in a series of Christmas specials but, alas, the magic of his spectacular career was over.
