Here it is: the 2022 Ford Ranger, with a walkaround review by Chasing Cars editor Tom Baker. This car is a late-stage prototype T6.2 Ranger Wildtrak V6 finished in white with a black interior, resplendent with 12-inch touchscreen, full-time 4WD Auto system, and a 10-speed automatic transmission.

In today’s episode Tom speaks with Pritika Maharaj, Ford’s Ranger powertrains boss.

The new Ford Ranger was engineered in Australia and rivals the Volkswagen Amarok, Toyota HiLux, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Triton, GWM Ute and LDV T60.

The next Amarok will be based on the 2022 Ranger.
