The Playa de Garcey, on the west coast of Fuerteventura, is a beautiful and peaceful place; it somehow gives you a spiritual experience; but at one time, it was well known for a shipwreck. The American Star washed up in 1994 and became a bizarre sight on this beach; what remained finally went in 2007, leaving little behind, as if nothing had happened.
