Huge CSX street running freight trains, road rage live action and distributed power units! LaGrange Kentucky trains. A CSX freight yard was emptied for the 2nd train which seemed like the worlds longest train! Lol, no wonder the impatient driver got upset. The train had distributed power units ( DPU ) in the middle and was 2 trains in one. This is Precision Scheduled Railroading or PSR. It saves money for the railroad since it takes less people to move more freight but the trains get so long that the railroad crossings can be blocked for long periods of time. It took over 11 minutes for the 2nd train to clear the crossing. I don't know what caused the road rage. I heard cars beeping and then saw a guy get out of his car while yelling at the car in front of him. That incident is at 22:22. There are still about ten or eleven trains a day here at LaGrange, Kentucky. On this day the first train in daylight came just before 9am. The next train didn't come until almost 3pm and then there were 2 other trains before it got dark. I like watching street running trains here but I have noticed that this town has an excessive amount of very noisy vehicles. I have never seen so many pick up trucks without mufflers as they have here! Just stand on the railfan platform and see how long it takes for a noisy car or truck to drive by. Has anyone else noticed this? I travel a lot to film trains and this has to be the noisiest place that I have ever been to.
