The RAM 1500 is the last of the big 3 American pickup trucks for me to review. This RAM 1500 was equipped with the 5.7 Hemi V8 with the E-Torque option, the BigHorn package, and the aggressive Night Package. No Dodge logos here, this is a RAM, a spinoff brand that makes this truck even more special.

Lets start with the powertrain. The 5.7 Hemi V8 makes 395 hp and 410 lb/ft torque. The maximum payload is 2,300 lbs and towing capacity over 6 tons! The Ram 1500 with the 5.7 V8 Hemi has an MSRP of $43,000, while the Ram that I reviewed had a total MSRP of $58,000 with options included.

The interior is starting to feel less utilitarian, and more like an SUV. Entering the truck, the first thing you notice is that impactful 12” center display which is a dream as far as infotainment systems go in pickup trucks. Extremely responsive system with a crystal clear display. You have the perfect blend of digital options as well as having physical buttons for the important features such as climate, volume, etc… The backup cam allows you to zoom in, making hooking up a trailer just that much easier. This is easily my favorite feature of the 2021 Ram 1500.

There is so much to discuss in the interior on the 2021 Ram 1500, such as the ridiculous amount of storage, the dashboard screen with a couple of analog gauges, the immense amount of headroom/legroom for every passenger, and of course the over-the-top amount of cup holders.

The steering wheel not only feels nice to hold, but responds extremely well to the road as you drive. This is the smoothest truck I have ever driven. Additionally, Ram offers an optional air suspension which this truck did not have. Not only is the 2021 Ram 1500 a nice environment to sit in for hours, but it drives so smoothly, you have no need for a luxury SUV anymore. Option this truck out properly and it can truly be the only car in your garage.

Watch the full review to see the pros and cons of this truck, and whether I believe you should or should not buy one. If you are considering the Ram 1500 alongside the Ford F150 and the Chevy Silverado 1500, this is the review to watch.
