The BMW S58 is one hell of an engine with a ton of tuning potential. At stock power levels the supporting parts do a great job. At much high power level certain parts like the heat exchanger, oil cooler and intake manifold start to show their limitations. Today we address these weak components by upgrading them before doubling the power of my G87 M2.
