This cabin is 10' x 12', cost about $2,500 in materials, and took about a year to build working on Saturdays (the foundation was laid in Nov. 2022 and the doors and windows were hung and building finished in Dec. 2023). Pre-manufactured stick buildings, unfinished inside, were priced at 3 to 4 times that amount. This was much cheaper, much prettier, and saved the time of inside finishing. The timbers are held together by construction screws placed every 16".
