Today we take an afternoon drive through the center of Zion on Utah's Hwy 9 going east from Springdale. The entrance fee is $35 but free for us with the National Park lifetime entrance fee card for seniors. In August the breath taking drive on the Zion Valley Floor is only accessible by shuttle bus because it get so crowded and insufficient parking. Since we now live 20 minutes from Zion it is like a drive through our new backyard and we will return to Zion often if for no other reason than to have lunch in Springdale or the Zion Lodge.
