On Monday 2 October a special ceremony was held for the swearing in of the new President, Deputy President and three new Justices of the UK Supreme Court. This marks the beginning of the new legal year.

The swearing-in took place at 10am in Courtroom One of the following Justices of The Supreme Court:

Lady Hale of Richmond as President
Lord Mance as Deputy President
Lady Black of Derwent as Justice
Lord Lloyd-Jones as Justice
Lord Briggs of Westbourne as Justice
