FINALLY! I have been wanting to do this since before even buy an X5M: painting the calipers Estoril Blue. BMW started doing this to all its M cars in 2013 at the end of the E70's run and beginning with the F10 M5. Unfortunately, the paint code for the caliper paint is an internal Brembo code, not a universal code. Some dedicated forum members figured out that Estoril is about as close as you can get to the factory brake color.

G2 does make a brush on kit in Estoril Blue, but it's expensive and two kits are required to cover these huge brakes. I could also buy Estoril touch up paint, but I found a better option. Rustoleum makes a metallic blue paint that matches Estoril perfectly! I will be using a high temperature primer and clear coat with the standard metallic paint sandwiched between them. It won't be as good as using a high temp pain, but for a non track car, I think it should work nicely. I will also be using some high temp vinyl decals as well. They turned out AMAZING and really transformed the car. I couldn't be happier.

*You can easily just go buy it in person at Walmart, Home Depot, or Lowes; it's usually in stock
