With 75 days until the Tokyo Olympic Games Marathon we joined Jake Riley for a tough interval training session in Boulder, Colorado alongside TEAM Boulder Head Coach Lee Troop.

The workout: 5 x 1 Mile on Monarch Road with 2 minutes recovery. The 1st, 3rd and 5th intervals are slightly downhill and the 2nd and 4th intervals are slightly uphill; there is approximately 15 metres differential in altitude.

Coach Lee Troop was thrilled with the workout and believes Jake is ahead of where he was leading into the USA Olympic Trials where he placed 2nd in 2:10:02 on a hilly course many believe to be 2 to 3 minutes slower than a flat course.
