Speakers:
Iyad Rahwan, Director, Max Planck Institute for Human Development
Andrian Kreye, Editor-at-Large, Süddeutsche Zeitung
How can we reap the benefits of social media, and being connected, without surrendering all control to the digital giants who own the platforms?
This is one of the key questions that Süddeutsche Zeitung Editor-at-Large Andrian Kreye discusses with Iyad Rahwan, director of the Center for Humans & Machines at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin.
“We need to articulate as a society what we consider too far, and what we consider acceptable”, Rahwan says. “And I think we need to rethink the sovereignty on the data.” Other topics include digital governance, ethics and artificial intelligence.
