😬 Who lets their $1,000 sneakers get this bad?! 😬

Whoever it was definitely wore their sneakers without fear of causing any damage! Luckily after dropping them off for a deep clean we were able to repair the scuffs and scratches that come from years of wear. Before we get into teaching you exactly how to repair those; we need to start with a clean canvas!

To clean the sneakers we start with a deep clean using the Essential Cleaning Kit. Now these are a leather sneaker and incredibly expensive, so we do not recommend putting these in the washing machine! This specific pair wasn't overly dirty, so it didn't need too much of a clean up, but there was quite a bit of debris on the inside of the sneaker. One thing to note when cleaning this pair specifically is that there can be some serious color bleed!

After the cleaning process was completed it was time to move over to the repainting process and repair process. However, first we needed to put them in the Vick 2000 to whiten the white leather on the sneaker. When you are repairing scuffs and scratches it is important to sand down the sneaker to make the surface smooth prior to painting. As you can see a repaint isn't just pick one bottle of paint and everything works, it is important to mix the paint to get the perfect match.

Painting sneakers is quite the process, it comes with taping the shoe, prep work, the paint and finishing it with a matte finish.

The final step was to rewax the sneakers. Wax can be removed from the sneaker while cleaning, but it is a repairable thing. Follow these simple steps!

Scuffs and scratches can be irritating to say the least, but one thing to note is that they ARE repairable! Follow these simple steps and you can restore your sneakers too!
