We saved thousands of dollars by painting the house with a Graco airless sprayer. You get the same pro results at a fraction of the cost through DIY efforts. Why hire it out if you can paint the house yourself! It is a question of time and your return on the investment of that time.

But painting is the EASY part. It's the prep work that is really time consuming. I probably spent at least a portion of 3 days masking of the areas where I did not want the new paint to go. And of course we got the one windy day in the middle of summer that had me redoing some of the initial taping off work that I had already completed - due to the wind!

The secret is to be patient and persevere through the unseen hiccups that are bound to occur! The process is not super difficult.
