None of us like being woken up from a nap. Not even Marc Faubert's 1971 Alfa Romeo Spider Junior. Faubert says that first drive of the season is never a happy one for the car, as it spits and sputters to life but that "the more you drive it, all those problems go away." Such is the classic 'Italian tune-up' — old cars simply get better the more you drive them.

Faubert had dreamed of driving an Alfa for a very long time. "I fell in love with Alfas in my teenage years living on the south shore of Montreal," he says. The dream of owning an Alfa was "always in the back of my mind," says Faubert, and today that dream is very real.
