Tony & Chelsea Northrup review the AMAZING Sony a9 III - the world's GREATEST sports camera with 120 FPS raw and a GLOBAL SHUTTER. The autofocus is absolutely stunning for sports photography and the 2024 Olympics!

There's a catch, though... the competition is pretty good in this segment! Sony's own a1 offers 30 FPS (significantly fewer), but still enough for most sports, and it has twice the megapixels making it more versatile. The Canon R3 technically offers about 190 frames per second, but that high frame rate isn't nearly as useful, and we found the autofocus wasn't nearly as good as the Sony's. The Nikon Z8 and Z9 offer 120 FPS, but only in JPG, and only at 11 megapixels. Still, they have a maximum of 45 frames per secondd (at 20 FPS raw), so they're overall more versatile cameras.
